McDonnell Auditorium
McDonnell Auditorium is a 252-seat lecture hall equipped with advanced audio and video capabilities and a high-definition projection screen. Named in recognition of Tom and Jana McDonnell, it supports large enrollment courses and serves as a central gathering place for some of the college's signature programs like the Inspired Leaders Series, as well as university and community events.

Lock Commons & Mississippi Power Foyer
The Lock Commons and Mississippi Power Foyer serve as the central gathering space in Scianna Hall. Students use the space to meet, study, and collaborate. It also functions as a primary event venue, hosting networking opportunities such as the Business Career Fair and Experience Business Casually.

Lofty Return
Designed and created by award-winning sculptor David Anderson, this life-size golden eagle sculpture, "Lofty Return" was gifted to 91少女集中营 in conjunction with the dedication of Scianna Hall. It just so happens to have a lucky feather!

Creative Learning Lab
The Creative Learning Lab is a unique space for innovation, brainstorming, collaboration, and other creative activities. The classroom includes non-traditional seating and other equipment for students to work on group projects and other course requirements. Many instructors in the business school use the Creative Learning Lab for classes that incorporate innovation and creative endeavors.

Tiered Classrooms
Scianna Hall features three tiered classrooms with seating capacities ranging from 60 to 72 students. Designed for lecture-style courses, the elevated seating ensures clear visibility, while integrated audio-visual technology supports instruction and engagement.

Courtyard
You鈥檒l find us outside in the courtyard just as often as inside Scianna Hall. It鈥檚 home to events like the Welcome Back Cookout and game day tailgates, but on any given day, you might find students studying on the turf, enjoying a picnic, or watching Sunday Skye, the campus therapy dog, chase a frisbee across the lawn.

The Hatchery
The Hatchery is home to the Center for Entrepreneurship, serving as a central hub for student innovation and venture development at Southern Miss. The space blends a makerspace environment with a flexible lounge where conversations spark entrepreneurial journeys and ideas begin to take shape. The Hatchery provides the setting for a growing menu of workshops, mentorship opportunities, and hands-on experiences that engage students in building and testing new ideas. From early-stage exploration to pitch preparation, The Hatchery is where value creators move ideas into action.

Professional Sales Lab
The Professional Sales Lab supports the college鈥檚 Professional Selling certificate program, where students have placed in national and international sales competitions. The lab features three mock pitch rooms where students practice and refine their sales, presentation, and communication skills. Used for coursework and competition preparation, the space provides hands-on learning experiences that prepare students for careers in sales.

The Testing Center
The Testing Center accommodates more than 80 students at a time for proctored exams, providing dedicated space for online course testing. Its capacity helps ease demand during peak periods like midterms and finals. It also serves as a site for Microsoft certification exams, including Excel, for students, faculty, and staff.

Business Career Services
Business Career Services provides students with direct support in preparing for internships and full-time careers. Located within Scianna Hall, the office of the Assistant Dean of Professional Development and Career Success offers resume critiques, career guidance, and internship support, along with professional workshops. The space also includes interview rooms where students can practice and participate in employer interviews.

The Office of Student Success is your go-to resource for academic support, guidance, and planning your path to graduation. Our dedicated academic advisors are here to help with course selection, degree planning, academic standing concerns, and any challenges that may impact your success. We'll also connect you with university resources for financial aid, career services, and personal support鈥攅nsuring you have everything you need to thrive at Southern Miss Business.

Renasant Center for Financial Services
The Renasant Financial Services Center prepares students for careers in the financial services industry through hands-on use of industry-standard tools. The space features Bloomberg Terminals and a student trading room with real-time access to financial data, economic forecasts, and industry research. Students use the lab to analyze firms, evaluate investments, and generate reports, while a live stock ticker reinforces a real-time connection to the markets.

Study Rooms
Scianna Hall houses nine study rooms, providing a comfortable place for students to meet, study, and recharge between classes, whether working on group projects or preparing for exams.

App Development Lab
The App Development Lab, established and operated in partnership with the School of Computing Sciences and Computer Engineering, is a collaborative space focused on creating mobile apps and software solutions. Equipped with Apple technologies鈥攊ncluding MacBooks, iPads, and Apple TV鈥攖he lab provides students with the tools to build, test, and refine iOS applications. From initial design to user-ready products, the App Development Lab is where digital ideas become functional tools.
Third Floor

Faculty & Staff Offices
Most business faculty and staff offices are located on the third floor of Scianna Hall, including the School of Marketing, School of Management, School of Finance, School of Accountancy, and the Dean鈥檚 Office. This centralized layout makes it easy for business students to connect with faculty for office hours.

Ivey Conference Room
The Nelma and Marlin Ivey Conference Room is equipped with technology that supports both in-person and virtual collaboration. Used for meetings, presentations, and small group discussions, the space reflects the type of professional environment students will encounter in the workplace. It is available by reservation only.
