Bio
Johnson O. Oguntuase is an Assistant Professor of Hydrographic Science at the Division of Marine Science. His research interests include:
(1) developing algorithms for significant wave height and wave spectra using datasets from Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and Inertial Navigation System (INS). (2) utilizing high-precision GNSS buoys for offshore water level monitoring, extending tidal datums offshore, and validating improvements in ocean and marine geospatial models.
(3) ML and AI modelling for predicting and extracting meaningful insights from geospatial, marine geospatial, and acoustic datasets.
(4) Ocean mapping, data processing, and analysis.
