Emily Junkin

Bio

Dr. Junkin received her Ph.D. from the Virginia Consortium Program in Clinical Psychology, which was comprised of Old Dominion University, Norfolk State University, and Eastern Virginia Medical School. Before that, she received her M.S. in Psychology from Old Dominion University and her B.A. in Psychology from Auburn University. Dr. Junkin completed her predoctoral internship at the University of Delaware's Center for Counseling and Student Development. Her research centers on alcohol use among emerging adults, and she has specific interests in the diagnostic criteria related to impaired control over alcohol use. Dr. Junkin utilizes experimental designs to examine how alcohol-related cue exposure impacts alcohol consumption, cognition, and impaired control behaviors.
