Bio
I am a marine scientist who is passionate about the field's intersection with education and policy. My research interests are in the spatial and temporal variations of nutrients and microbial communities in coastal habitats, with an emphasis on sea ice and polar environments. I have extensive experience in informal marine science education, which I have worked on in Maine, Virginia, Alaska, and Mississippi, and am also interested in community-based science initiatives and science-informed policy.
