General admission tickets are $20 and available or by calling the Southern Miss Ticket Office at 601.266.5418.
鈥淚n addition to choral masterworks by Morten Lauridsen and waltzes by Strauss, audiences will hear recognizable holiday classics like 鈥楢ngels We Have Heard on High,鈥 鈥楽ilent Night,鈥 and 鈥楯oy to the World,鈥 among others,鈥 said Dr. Gregory Fuller, director of Choral Activities. 鈥淚t's a great opportunity for all the artists of the Hattiesburg area to spread some holiday cheer to everyone.鈥
This year鈥檚 community celebration also features choirs from Central Baptist School, Jefferson Middle School, Laurel High School, Pearl River Central Middle School, and Pearl River Central High School.
Under the direction of Dr. Gregory Wolynec, the Southern Miss Symphony Orchestra will perform three pieces by 鈥渢he waltz king,鈥 Johann Strass, to keep the festive evening dancing along in his 200th year.
Concert attendees also have the opportunity to participate in the celebration through combined carol singing鈥攁udience and performers together. .
