During Honors Day, high school seniors who are interested in applying for the Honors College, as well as their parents/families, will:
- meet the Honors College Dean, faculty, and staff;
- learn more about the dynamic curriculum, active learning trips, and research opportunities available to Honors Scholars;
- find out more about the application and admission process to the Honors College; and
- visit with representatives from academic colleges and key campus programs!
Registration opens 10/13/26.
Students choose us because they want a top-notch education with internationally renowned faculty. But there are a lot of other benefits to being a Southern Miss Honors Scholar!
If you're interested in joining the Honors College, we'd love to meet you! Set up a tour with the Office of Admissions or come to one of our scheduled recruitment days.

Once you have been admitted to Southern Miss and have a student ID and password, you can apply to Honors College. Learn about our application process.
All students admitted to the Honors College will receive financial support. Learn about the scholarships we offer, our achievement awards, and other ways to fund your education.
High-achieving juniors and seniors who want to join the Honors College have a unique opportunity with our Keystone program.
There's always something going on at Honors College, from afternoons with local shelter puppies to lectures from world-renowned speakers.
